A clear Distinction Between Title And Worth
While browsing through the internet, I came across one of Bishop David Oyedepo's sermons, where he differentiated these two concepts.
Bishop David Oyedepo is the president of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel. He is one of those preachers whose name is worth associating with.
He started that the values that a man generates is what enhances his worth, title notwithstanding.
In other words, it is not your elaborate titles that defines your worth bit your values. When you recall men like George Bush, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton; you will notice that these men's title are almost forgotten, however, their impact still speaks.
There are no entitlements in titles, but values generated are always connected to rewards. Most times, titles are like chains that can stagnate one from true progress.
By implication, a person who is after titles is like one who is chasing the wind. It is almost worthless when one focuses on titles rather than values. Thus, anyone who pursue true worth will have his or her name written with gold in the sand of time.
Personally, I have noticed that most prominent men are remembered based on the values they have created and not necessarily on the title they bore.
In conclusion, I want to appeal sincerely to my dear reader to seek to be highly valuable in any field of endeavor.
